Tokens

Create tokens with immutable supply rules, exact fees and balances derived from Quantus transactions.

The question

How do you create a token that nobody, not even its creator, can quietly inflate?

A Qlyphs token is an overlay on ordinary Quantus transactions. QLYP-v1 reads those transactions in order and applies the same rules to compute balances. Tokens are not a native Quantus asset pallet, and the protocol implementation still needs security review.

Launched on a bonding curve, graduated to NEAR

Tokens launch on a bonding curve: 1,000 lots whose price rises from 0.01 to 0.44 QTC. Once all 1,000 are sold, the token graduates to NEAR, where a NEAR token and its liquidity pool are created and NEAR Intents bring buyers from every chain to it.

A token's life, from creation to send

Follow an example open-mint token, GLYF, from creation to transfers between holders.

GLYFCreated
Max supply
1,000,000
Mint limit
10,000
Minted
0%
    1. 01 / 05

      You launch GLYF

You choose a symbol, decimals, maximum supply, per-mint limit and who may mint. One transaction pays the Qlyphs fee, 25 USD in QTC at the on-chain rate, plus the network fee. The first accepted symbol claim creates GLYF with immutable issuance rules.

    2. 02 / 05

      Anyone can mint

In this example minting is open and the limit is 10,000 GLYF. Each mint may request up to that limit and the remaining supply, paying 0.01 QTC plus network fees. The creator may mint too; the protocol does not guarantee equal allocations.

    3. 03 / 05

      The supply fills up

Each mint is checked against the policy, per-mint limit and remaining cap. A rejected mint changes no token balance. If its native fee payment succeeded, the Qlyphs fee is not refunded.

    4. 04 / 05

      The supply is complete

In this example the last 10,000 GLYF fill the cap. Nobody, including the creator, can mint beyond it. Smaller mints could also have filled the remaining supply.

    5. 05 / 05

      Holders send freely

Holders can transfer available tokens to another account, paying the network fee but no Qlyphs fee. Tokens reserved for a bilateral offer cannot be transferred until released or settled.

What you decide when you create a token

These fields are fixed once the token exists:

    • A unique symbol. The first valid claim wins within that network. Full asset IDs and the network still identify a token when you sign.
    • Decimals. How base units are displayed, from 0 to 18 decimal places.
    • A maximum supply. The cap on all accepted mints.
    • A per-mint limit. Each mint may request any positive amount up to this limit and the remaining supply. It is not a mandatory fixed amount.
    • Who can mint. Anyone, or only the creator.

Creating a token costs 25 USD in QTC, converted at the on-chain rate, plus the network fee. Every symbol costs the same, from one letter to twelve. Six tickers can never be created, so nobody can pass a token off as them: BTC, ETH, QLYPHS, QTC, USDC and USDT. Check symbol availability before signing. A competing claim can still win first; if your native fee payment succeeds but QLYP rejects your claim, that fee is not refunded.

    Mint under the published rules

Each mint costs 0.01 QTC, plus the network fee, and must satisfy the token's mint policy, per-mint limit and remaining cap. The creator may mint under those same rules. An open mint does not guarantee equal allocations, prevent a creator minting first, or make a token valuable.

    Launch on the bonding curve

A bonding-curve token is sold in 1,000 equal lots whose price rises through five tiers, from 0.01 to 0.44 QTC per lot, 210 QTC in total. Holders can sell back to the curve's reserve, and when the last lot is sold the token graduates to NEAR, where liquidity from every chain can reach it.

    Transfer tokens

Token transfers carry no Qlyphs fee. You pay the Quantus network fee. Tokens reserved for a sale cannot be transferred until the reservation is released or settled.

    Fee payment and acceptance

Creation and minting put the remark and its Qlyphs fee in one atomic native batch. If the fee payment fails, that batch is rolled back. If the native batch succeeds but breaks a QLYP rule, QLYP rejects the operation without changing token balances or its protocol sequence; the already-paid Qlyphs fee is not refunded. Native success and QLYP acceptance are separate checks.

    One price, in dollars

Creation and Quarks are priced in dollars, so their cost follows the dollar rather than the QTC price. One number on chain converts them: the rate of QTC per dollar. Qlyphs publishes it, within fixed bounds, by small steps, and about a day before it applies, so every change is public in advance. Your wallet reads the rate from state both witnesses sign, computes the fee itself and signs against that exact block, so a rate change can never cost you the fee. Minting stays at a fixed 0.01 QTC.

On mainnet, Quarks are live at 0.1 QTC until the fee schedule switches on. Token creation opens with the fee schedule, and minting follows once tokens exist. Transfers work today. Purchases remain disabled on mainnet.
